Bevara

Bevara introduces a new way to preserve your digital data. The Bevara solution leaves your data untouched i.e. there is never any loss due to format conversion or need to do format migration. Preserved ‘bvr’ files are readable anytime/anywhere by design. The Bevara solution relies on open-source bricks that guarantee non-obsolescence of your data.

The Bevara solution is made of two parts:

  1. Bevara Preserve: a tool to create ‘bvr’ archive files from digital data. A free 30-day trial is available.
  2. Bevara Access: a free tool to extract and play your preserved data and metadata from the bvr files.

GPAC Licensing

This has been a pleasure to work with Maja and her team on the project. They use open technology in a creative way. That’s a really rewarding process for technology designers.
